Sorting reviews

One thing I hear and rightfully so is the fragmentation of Android as an OS. There are a lot of people stuck with older devices that are not getting upgraded. There are a ton of devices with different screen sizes and resolutions.

Problems arise from this and they often come down to "Is app 'x' optimized for my device?' Will it look good? Will it run well?

One way to check that you may not know about is to go to the Google Play store and find the app you're looking for. Then go to the 'User Review' tab. In there you'll see 3 clickable spots called 'All versions' ' All Devices' and 'Sort by'

In my case I have sorted the reviews by those people who are running the same device I am running. Google Play knows what device you have because of your Google account and gives you the options to choose from them in that drop down menu.

You can also sort by 'version' so if a user was complaining a lot about an outdated version of the software and not the new version you'll see that too.

This is not a perfect solution but it sure helps a lot for me. Go get some apps!
